Equipment & Onboarding Requirements
To work as an independent remote agent through the platforms we support, you must meet all equipment and onboarding requirements established by our partnered third-party platforms and the brands you may service. These requirements are not optional and must be in place before you can begin.

Required Equipment
All agents must have:
High-Speed Internet

Hardwired Ethernet connection required

Minimum speeds are determined by the third-party platform and client

Wi-Fi, satellite internet, hotspots, and mobile data connections are not permitted
Computer

Windows 11 desktop and/or laptop computer

Mac computers, Chromebooks, tablets, and mobile devices are not supported

Must meet all system requirements provided during onboarding
Headset

Noise-canceling USB headset
-
Wireless, Bluetooth, or 3.5mm audio jack headsets are not permitted
Workspace

Dedicated, quiet, distraction-free environment
-
No background noise, televisions, children, pets, or public locations
Certification & Training
All agents are required to complete an online certification course for the brand they choose to service. This training is mandated by third-party platforms and is necessary to ensure agents are properly prepared to handle live customer interactions.

Training requirements and timelines are determined by the third party and brand

Failure to complete certification may result in disqualification or removal from opportunities
Fees & Deposits
As an independent business owner, you are responsible for all onboarding-related costs, which may include:

A one-time background check fee (currently $30)

A (refundable) security deposit required by certain brands prior to beginning certification
These fees are set and collected by third-party platforms or the brands you select. SMSVS Agent Support LLC does not collect, control, or determine these amounts and does not receive these funds.

You are responsible for purchasing, maintaining, and troubleshooting your own equipment.

All equipment must be fully set up and ready before beginning certification or servicing calls.
By proceeding, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to meet all equipment and onboarding requirements as part of operating your independent remote business.
